What the hell am I doing with a delivery bag?

That was everyone's thought when they saw me show up at the event.

Me, the host, with a delivery bag? No one seemed to understand.

If you want to take a look at what you missed, here goes the Event Recap.

Where strength meets connection

This event started differently.

Instead of easing into the workout, we threw everyone straight into it, with a twist. Delivery bags on, teams formed, and suddenly you weren’t just showing up for a class. You were part of something playful, slightly chaotic, and immediately shared.

And just like that, the barriers dropped.

There’s something about doing something a bit ridiculous together that fast-tracks connection. You skip the small talk. You laugh. You figure it out as you go. And before you know it, you’re not “that person who came alone” anymore, you’re part of a team.

From strangers to teammates

Circuits have a way of doing that.

Rotating through strength stations, passing each other mid-run, catching your breath side by side, it naturally creates interaction. But add in that initial moment of “wait, what is happening?” and it becomes something else entirely.

You could feel the shift almost instantly.

Encouragement between rounds. Jokes mid-exercise. People pacing their runs together, even if they had just met five minutes before.

By the time we transitioned fully into the run, it didn’t feel like a group of individuals anymore. It felt like a crew.

Pushing limits, together

The workout itself was no joke.

35-second strength intervals with 15 seconds rest. Two sets, eight exercises, two rounds. It burned.

And to top it off, a 30-minute run that—even at a social pace—still challenged you. Just enough intensity to nudge you outside your comfort zone, without ever tipping into overwhelming.

But that’s where the magic happens.

Right at that edge.

Where it’s not easy, but it’s not impossible either. Where you start to question it for a second… and then keep going anyway. Where you realize you’re not the only one feeling it, and somehow, that makes it lighter.

Because when you’re in it together, something shifts.

The reps feel more manageable. The run feels more fluid. The whole experience becomes less about pushing through on your own, and more about being carried by the energy around you.

And before you know it, you’ve done more than you thought you could.

After the last rep

And then, like always, comes my favorite part.

The end… that isn’t really the end.

Delivery bags off, XXL Nutrition goodie bags out (that's a long story too, that I save for another blog post), and hydration powered by LOOSH's Electrolytes. People sitting on the ground, still catching their breath, some others dancing to the beats of Latin music with some flashes of House, and others already deep in conversation. Replaying moments from the workout. Laughing about the chaos at the start. Asking each other what they’re doing next weekend.

No one in a rush to leave.

Because somewhere between that first “what the hell is this?” and the final cooldown, something shifted.

Building this with the right people

Collaborating with Beat81 for this event just made sense.

There’s a shared belief in making training dynamic, accessible, and—most importantly—human. Structured enough to challenge you, but open enough that anyone can step in and feel part of it.

And that’s always the goal with our partners.

Not just to host an event, but to co-create an experience that people feel—during and long after it’s over.

Why this matters

Berlin can be a city where everyone is doing their own thing. Their own training, their own routines, their own circles.

And while that independence is part of its charm, it can also feel isolating.

Events like this break that pattern.

They remind you that you can show up alone, do something completely out of the ordinary (like wearing a delivery bag during a workout), and leave feeling connected—to people, to energy, to something bigger.

A note from me

If you were there, you already know, it wasn’t about how strong or fast you were.

It was about how you showed up. How you leaned into the unexpected. How you laughed, pushed, connected. How you stayed a little longer after it all ended.

And if you’re reading this thinking, “I don’t know if that’s for me,” maybe that’s exactly why it is.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

Sometimes it starts with a simple thought like:

What the hell is she doing with a delivery bag?

And ends with:

I’m really glad I came.

What’s next

The Beat81 Strength & Run Circuit was intense, a little chaotic, and exactly the kind of energy we love creating.

And we’re only getting started.

More movement. More connection. More unexpected moments that turn into stories you’ll tell later.

And more reminders that sometimes, the best experiences begin when you have no idea what you’re doing, but decide to show up anyway.

With love, Mariona
